These Hirschmann certification courses focus on preparing you for the official certification exam. The approach combines theory and application, presentations and exercises to help your understanding. The courses designated CT focus on technological knowledge; the courses called CP focus on the experience of Hirschmann products.

- CT1 – Industrial Ethernet
In this Industrial Ethernet course, participants learn the details of the technical fundamentals and objectives for implementing the most widely used LAN communication protocol in the world. At the end of the course, participants will have a good understanding of Ethernet and its role in industrial networks, now and in the future. No prerequisites are required.
CT2 – Industrial Networking
This course builds on the experience gained from Industrial Ethernet (CT1), providing network specialists with in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of TCP / IP and multicast communication. In it, special emphasis is placed on the deployment of TCP / IP and multicast in complex industrial environments. It is necessary as a prerequisite to pass the CT1 course, or the HiES exam.
CT3 – Industrial Routing
This course builds on the experience gained from the Industrial Network (CT2), providing network specialists with in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of unicast and multicast routing. In it, special emphasis is placed on the implementation of routing protocols in complex industrial environments. This allows participants to offer comprehensive support, both for demanding projects and for their daily work. As a prerequisite, it is necessary to pass the CT1 and CT2 courses, or the HiES and HiNP exams.
CP1 – Theory and Practice on Layer 2 Hirschmann switches
Participants receive in-depth knowledge of the Layer 2 functionality of the Hirschmann Operating System. This includes installation, commissioning and supervision. As a prerequisite, it is necessary to pass the CT1 and CT2 courses, or the HiES and HiNP exams.
CP2 – Network Management with Industrial HiVision
Participants learn the functions of our Industrial HiVision network management software , reinforcing this knowledge with hands-on exercises. Following this two-day course, participants can make effective use of HiVision industrial to supervise and configure any size Ethernet network. It is necessary as a prerequisite to pass the CT1, CT2 and CP1 courses, or the HiES, HiNP and HiRS exams.
CP3 – Switches Industrial Backbone Layer 3 Hirschmann
Participants receive in-depth knowledge of functionality 3 on Hirschmann switches. This includes installation, commissioning and supervision. The functions and possibilities of implanting the products are taught in individual theoretical blocks, followed by practical exercises. It is necessary as a prerequisite to pass the courses CT1, CT2, CT3 and CP1, or in the HiES, HiNP, HiRP and HiRS exams.
WLA & WSWB – Wireless LAN technologies with the BAT family of products
In the classroom combined with the practical format, participants learn about standards, technologies and design considerations for wireless ethernet networks, as well as details on the installation and use of Hirschmann BAT devices. Useful knowledge of the basics of Ethernet networking and basic knowledge of Wireless WLAN technology is required.
